i’ve had this idea in my mind for quite a while: if i have my own apartment or a house, i would paint my kitchen walls like a chalkboard. you know, that i could write down all my favorite recipes wherever i want. but, hmmm, the bedroom looks even better. from anthropologie’s july catalog via poppytalk.
when i was a kid, my favorite toy (if you can call it a toy) was a rocking horse. i’m not a kid anymore, but i still like everything rocking and this jaime hayon’s chicken looks like a green dream came true. found via mankind mag.
i like ikea. its not the best quality, but its always well designed and very affordable. but i really dont like to go to their stores. too big, too busy and too much… overwhelming. too bad, because i really really like those wall decorations created by hella jongerius. meet ps pelle, mikkel and gullspira.
its for sure that i’m not the only one who is a big fan of scandinavian and asian style. both of them come from completely different sides of the world but have something in common. no wonder why chen karlsson, a collaboration of asian and swedish designers, distributes such nice homeware. i’m particular in love with favorite things pendant lamp. it will be released in august, but i started to think what i could put in it already.

if you are interested in design, i’m pretty sure you are familiar with charles and ray eames and their hang it all. at least i’ve seen it in lots of design blogs. i’m really amazed by the simplicity and colorfulness of this piece meaning that it was designed in the early 50’s. the only thing which kinda bites is the price, but danielle thompson has good news for all the fans of the hang it all. she made her own version of it and was very kind to share a tutorial. sounds like a fun diy for the weekend.
